Reserving a Boat
Being a member of ABYC comes with the benefit of accessing Apalachee Bay Community Sailing's fleet of sailboats, which include keelboats and dinghies. These boats have enabled members to learn to sail and for those familiar with sailing to hone their team and match racing skills in regular practice and regattas.
The boats can be used for organized events or for a casual afternoon sail on a beautiful day.

Before you can reserve a boat, please make an appointment with ABCS's Fleet Management HERE.
A few things you'll need first... All users are required to compete an approved NASBLA (Florida) Boating Safety course. During your supervised skills check by one of ABCS's Fleet Captains, you'll required to complete the appropriate Skipper Checklist:
Reservations are first-come, first-served. The approved member MUST be present on the boat during use. All guests must fill out appropriate waiver forms upon arrival.
*Approved Users MUST be Apalachee Bay Yacht Club Members and at least 18 years of age.
Approved Users can reserve the boats online by using the Boat Reservations Calendar.

MAXIE I
The Capri 22 is an American sailboat, that was designed by Gary Mull and Frank Butler and first built in 1984. The Capri 22 is a small recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a fractional sloop rig, a transom hung rudder and a conventional fin keel.

The Hunter 23 is a single masted sloop made by Hunter Marine from 1985 to 1992. Early models were fitted with a swing-wing keel until 1986, when production switched to a regular cast iron wing keel. Kestrel was built with a

HOBIE HOLDER DINGHY
Holders are small single hull sailboats built by the well-known surfboard and catamaran manufacturer, Hobie. They come in 9’, 12’ , and 14’ versions. They use one large main sail only, no jib . Built of fiberglass, Holders are very rugged and are excellent for beginning sailors.

OPTIMIST PRAM DINGHY
The Optimist Pram is a small, single-handed sailing dinghy intended for use by children up to the age of 15. Nowadays boats are usually made of fiberglass , although wooden boats are still built.
It is one of the most popular sailing dinghies in the world, with over 150,000 boats officially registered with the class and many more built but never registered.
The Optimist is recognized as an International Class by the International Sailing Federation.
